Does apple cider vinegar help you lose weight?
Today I would like to share my very personal experiences on the much-vaunted topic of “losing weight with apple cider vinegar”. I grew up in a home where apple cider vinegar was on the table every day for lunch . And it was a given that a shot of apple cider vinegar mixed with water was drunk with food ... As a child, I didn't really ask myself what the good reason was for us drinking apple cider vinegar every day. For us, it was just routine .
Apple cider vinegar to stay slim?
If you look at it objectively, water mixed with a little good apple cider vinegar tastes more exciting than pure water. And it has no calories. Tart, super refreshing, quick to mix yourself, local and always available in the home. Losing weight with apple cider vinegar was never a priority for us. But maybe the daily vinegar water was the reason why we were all so slim and still are today ? Despite plenty of good German food? My mother was a wonderful cook. And I learned my love of cooking and especially of food from her.
In any case, I still drink my apple cider vinegar water regularly and have never had any problems with my weight. Honestly, I also think that losing weight just by drinking extra water and apple cider vinegar, without changing or adapting your diet and getting enough exercise, is questionable. That's why I recommend apple cider vinegar to stay slim - with a clear conscience.
But there must be something to it if so many people lose weight with apple cider vinegar! A study:
Yes, there is an exciting study on losing weight with apple cider vinegar: A Japanese scientific team conducted a 3-month study with overweight people (with a placebo comparison group). Two of the three groups received 15 or 30 ml of vinegar daily. The placebo group received water without apple cider vinegar. None of the groups knew that the topic was “losing weight with apple cider vinegar”.
According to this study, both vinegar groups experienced a significant reduction in body fat and body weight, compared to the water group. Even though this study only had a small group of participants, I personally find the results extremely exciting. And worth a try.
So could apple cider vinegar make losing weight easier?
In my opinion , apple cider vinegar is definitely a big plus point when it comes to dieting . How? Drinking water fills the stomach without calories. Apple cider vinegar stimulates the digestive juices . Both together, i.e. lots of water with a little apple cider vinegar, automatically leads to a feeling of satiety and reduces cravings. It tastes good and feels good.
Therefore, apple cider vinegar can make losing weight easier! In addition, apple cider vinegar has a positive effect on blood sugar levels , preventing cravings . And the lower the blood sugar level, the less insulin is released in the body. This means that carbohydrates are not immediately stored as fat reserves.
